As part of its continuous pursuit of enhancing institutional performance and strengthening the principles of governance in higher education institutions, Al-Riyada University participated with an official delegation in the expanded academic seminar entitled “University Governance.”

The seminar was organized by the University of Science and Technology – Aden on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, under the gracious patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Khaled Ahmed Al-Wasabi.

Al-Riyada University was represented at the seminar by:

• Prof. Dr. Nahla Saleh Al-Kaaki – President of the University

• Mr. Yahya Fouad Al-Yamani – Secretary-General of the University

• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Saleh Al-Talibi – Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences

• Asst. Prof. Dr. Nour Al-Din Al-Aidaroos – Director of the Center for Quality Assurance and Academic Development

The seminar highlighted several key themes, including:

• Concepts of university governance

• Legislative frameworks and international experiences

• The role of academic councils and ministries in supporting governance

• Experiences of leading Arab, Egyptian, and Yemeni universities in this field

Al-Riyada University’s participation reflects its commitment to keeping pace with modern trends in higher education management and to applying governance standards that ensure transparency, quality, and sustainability in institutional performance.
