Al-Riyada University and Al-Sadaqa Teaching Hospital Launch a Strategic Partnership to Train Students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences

In a step aimed at strengthening integration between academic and medical institutions, Professor Dr. Nahla Saleh Al-Kaaki, President of the University, Dr. Salem Aboud Ghanem, Vice President of the University, and Dr. Baraa Sanad Haidar, Head of Student Activities and Community Service at the University, conducted a working visit to Al-Sadaqa Teaching Hospital in Aden to discuss avenues of joint cooperation and to enhance a strategic partnership that supports the quality of practical training for students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Al-Riyada University.

They were received by Dr. Mohammed Mansour Haidara, Director General of the Hospital; Dr. Asia Awadh, Deputy Director General for Technical Affairs; Dr. Intisar Salam Shaif, Deputy Director General for Child Affairs; and Dr. Nawal Abdu Mohammed, Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the continuation of the scientific cooperation agreement concluded between them in the field of clinical training for students of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Al-Riyada University. It was agreed to sign the agreement during the coming week to activate areas of joint cooperation and to make optimal use of the expertise of the hospital’s staff and its various departments in developing students’ skills through a structured program for implementing practical training, supported by an integrated system of joint supervision and evaluation. This represents an addition to the skills acquired by students within the university hospital.

In a statement on this occasion, Professor Dr. Nahla Al-Kaaki, President of Al-Riyada University, affirmed that this agreement, along with similar agreements previously concluded with other teaching hospitals, represents a fundamental practical step toward achieving the university’s vision of graduating distinguished medical professionals who master both theoretical and applied sciences, gaining knowledge and clinical experience together in real and advanced working environments.

For his part, Dr. Salem Ghanem, Vice President of the University, noted that such partnerships embody the true meaning of constructive institutional cooperation, as they provide students of the Faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences with the opportunity to transition smoothly from the classroom to practical application under the supervision of an elite group of doctors and specialists, transforming knowledge into practice and learning into achievement.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mohammed Mansour Haidara, Director General of the Hospital, emphasized that Al-Sadaqa Teaching Hospital places the development of medical personnel at the core of its priorities and continuously seeks to integrate academic and practical perspectives. He noted that cooperation with Al-Riyada University will enable the hospital to actively participate in building a qualified generation of doctors who can supply the labor market with competencies that meet community needs.

At the conclusion of the visit, the university delegation thanked the hospital administration for the warm reception and hospitality, expressing their appreciation for the strong cooperation shown by the hospital administration in strengthening constructive scientific and professional collaboration with the university.
