Al-Riyada University held a coordination meeting this morning with the International Sustainable Research and Education Network (ISREN) via Zoom, aiming to strengthen quality and international accreditation efforts. The meeting comes as part of the university’s commitment to building partnerships with international scientific and research institutions and networks, providing high-quality higher education, and creating international opportunities for university students to share their research and expand their academic horizons.

Dr. Adel Abdulkhaleq, Director of International Relations and Dean of the College of Distance Education, welcomed the participants and introduced an overview of Al-Riyada University, its colleges, and academic departments. He highlighted the university’s modern academic and research environment, which includes qualified faculty members at the local and Arab levels, smart classrooms, advanced laboratories, a modern scientific library, and a university hospital dedicated to practical training.

He also highlighted the university’s adoption of e-learning systems, student activities, academic partnerships with international universities and institutions, as well as distance learning and continuing education programs. He emphasized the university’s continuous efforts and dedication to aligning academic programs with labor market requirements and international and local standards, stressing the importance of coordination and joint cooperation between Al-Riyada University and the network in this regard.

For his part, Dr. Abdullah Faisal Al-Shalif, CEO of the International Sustainable Research and Education Network, expressed his pleasure with the meeting with representatives of Al-Riyada University. He provided a brief overview of the network, its services, and the advantages it offers to support and advance academic research and sustainable education.

Al-Shalif emphasized the network’s commitment to enhancing cooperation, knowledge exchange, scientific research support, education, and sustainable development. He also highlighted the opportunities it provides for training, funding, and professional development through an integrated academic platform that serves individuals and institutions.

He further introduced some of the network’s comprehensive services, including capacity building, scientific and academic consultations, scientific publishing, coordination of research supervision and collaboration, educational and curriculum development, professional networking support, and the launch of research and academic initiatives and conferences.

For her part, Ms. Samah Al-Mansouri, Director of the Quality Assurance Center at Al-Riyada University, Executive Council Member of the International Sustainable Research and Education Network, and Director of Women Empowerment, emphasized the significant role played by Al-Riyada University in supporting the academic and professional sectors through highly qualified faculty members working according to international, Arab, and local standards.

She highlighted the university’s membership and participation in several academic organizations and accreditations, including the accreditation of the Bachelor’s programs in Oral and Dental Surgery and Pharmacy by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, allowing graduates to be registered through the Mumaris system. She also referred to the university’s membership in the International Association of Universities, its permanent membership in the Association of Arab Universities and the Association of Yemeni Private Universities, in addition to its legal and academic licensing accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Yemen.

Mr. Khaled Lakraa, Director of Media, Marketing, and Public Relations, expressed Al-Riyada University’s interest in coordination and networking among academic and professional institutions and entities at the local, Arab, and international levels, in order to continuously develop the educational process and scientific research and adopt international standards that contribute to the continuous advancement of academic education quality and labor market requirements.

He praised the role played by the International Sustainable Research and Education Network in enhancing and supporting educational and research initiatives through its efforts in education, research, and skills training, as well as its pursuit of innovation and contribution to achieving Sustainable Development Goals in the Arab world and beyond.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to arrange the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the university and the network, including opportunities for exchanging research supervisors, participating in the organization of scientific conferences and seminars, and enhancing academic networking and collaboration.
